The Power of Love

Love makes friends out of enemies. Love heals the sick.

Love brings joy where there is sorrow. Love builds community where 2 or more gather.

Love creates peace out of chaos. Love brings a smile where there were tears.

Love creates harmony out of war. Love binds a mother to her children.

Love comforts the suffering. Love has many faces. Love fills a room with laughter.

Love saves lives. Love speaks softly. Love can be shared with everyone.

Love has no chains. Love inspires. Love gives hope to the hopeless. Love conquers all.

If you are ever in doubt about what to do or question if you’re going down the right path, ask yourself one question. If the answer does not include love, you may want to reconsider your next step.

So, on that note, the quote of the day is:

“Love is in the answer to every question that you may have.” tc

A Grand Design

The colors of the rainbow encompass every shade of light that the eye can see. What a beautiful array of soft tones that dapple the depths of creations grandeur. Words only subtract from the canvas of such a natural masterpiece.

So, on that note, the quote of the day is:

“Yes!” tc

Rainbows or Rain

Sometimes, the right question conveys more than a short story.

So, on that note, the quote of the day is:

"Do you revel in the rain or the rainbow?" tc

Canopy of Color

Bold and pastel colors blend together to create an alluring rainbow arc across the sky.  A spectacular patchwork of reds, golds and oranges decorate the towering autumn treetops.  Bright and twinkling stars dot the heavens with a panoramic view of enticing design. Each lovely scene in their own way has inspired poets to write sonnets of love, musicians to compose unforgettable scores of adventure and dreamers to produce unique works of art that touch all of our lives.
As often as we look outward and upward for inspiration, answers and direction, let us not forget that what lies below the expansive paradise above us is where the raw beauty of nature plays itself out.  A pregnant woman nurturing new life, a teenager nervous about his/her first date, a young couple heading off on their honeymoon, an old man holding his wife's hand as they share one last breath together:  these are the stitches in the fabric of our lives.  All the exquisite moments of our journey are completed in the physical manifestation of our being. There is nothing more magnificent 'up there,' that does not in some way reflect 'down here.'  It all depends where you are looking.

So, on that note, the quote of the day is:

"The Essence of life is found below the canopy of God's great design." tc

Your entitlement

There is a prevailing attitude of 'entitlement without cause' in our country today.  We hear about crooked politicians on the news getting caught performing illegal deals.  We read about money managers stealing millions from their clients.  We even watch reality programs on TV that encourage and support poor behavior.
Interestingly enough, all of this daily 'entertainment' impacts how we relate in the world.  Oftentimes, while we are busy focusing on everyone else's lives, we do not look in the mirror at the situations that we are creating in our own.
If we do not spend quality time with our families, we create the breakdown in the family unit.  If we work excessively to acquire money, power and prestige, we create the stressful environment that comes without rest.  If we eat foods that are unhealthy and sit around all day, we create the diseases that weaken our bodies.
I believe that it is time for all of us to refocus our attention on our own lives and see the measure of entitlement that we have established as the norm.  We are not helpless bystanders of circumstance.  We are responsible for what we produce: good or bad.

So, on that note, the quote of the day is:

"We create our thunderstorms in life.  God only offers the rainbows." tc
