“As Above, So Below”

The ancient Egyptians created this saying to reveal one of the greatest secrets of the universe. What happens in the celestial heavens above us also happens on planet earth. When energy moves through the universe, it moves through us. When the stars sparkle in the night sky, we sparkle. When the sun shines brightly, we shine. When explosions blast in the outer atmosphere of our planet, explosions erupt on earth.

We see our reflections in the ‘above’ as a mirror of ‘below.’ The universe is one cycle within another cycle. History repeats itself because time is cyclical. Our lives are cyclical. “As Above, So Below.”

So, on that note, the quote of the day is:

“The great spiral of life is a reminder to us of the microcosm that we mirror of the universe above us. ” tc

The Power of One

Did anyone see the movie, Pay it Forward? It came out several years ago but it was a wonderful little movie with a powerful message. Today, I want to touch on the theme of that movie. I used to watch television, once in a while but it was so full of crimes committed, wars around the world and personal tragedies that I quit watching. By viewing this type of trauma, daily, it is easy to see why some people have lost hope in anything ever improving.

However, Hope is the one thing that we have the power to exercise; the one real freedom that no one can take away from us. With hope, we can do anything. We can change the negativity of the world by first changing our attitude about the world. We can empower another to try harder. We can give love to all. We can support someone in need. We can find the spiritual path that suits us. We can enable hope to live. We have the Power to be the One that changes the world, if we, first, believe fully in ourselves.

So, on that note, the quote of the day is:

"Faith, hope and love ease the tension of society’s self-inflicted madness.” tc
